Scarce matching pair of vintage “GO FOR THE MANFREY ON THE GO” campaign pinback buttons, most likely produced for Eugene R. Manfrey’s advancement through Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars leadership around 1981–1982. Each button features bold red-and-blue lettering against a cream-colored background and a Bastian Bros. Co., Rochester, New York maker’s mark on the reverse.

CONDITION: Pre-owned vintage condition. Both buttons retain clear, bright red-and-blue lettering, with age-related yellowing, surface scratches, rubs, spotting and soiling to the cream-colored fronts. One has heavier scuffing near the upper edge. Metal backs show extensive oxidation, tarnish, pitting, discoloration and areas of residue or finish loss. Both straight pin wires are present and appear intact; use care because the exposed points are sharp.
