Vintage 2002 Hartland Disneyland Railroad Ernest S Marsh G Scale Train No 4 Limited Edition
EW005
Collectible 2002 Hartland Locomotive Works Disneyland Railroad Ernest S. Marsh No. 4 G-scale steam locomotive with matching tender, produced in a limited edition of just 1,959. This beautifully detailed red and gold Walt Disney Centennial model combines classic American railroad craftsmanship with the history of Disneyland's iconic railroad attraction.
Manufactured in La Porte, Indiana, this electric-powered 2-4-0 locomotive recreates Disneyland Railroad Engine No. 4, named for Ernest S. Marsh, former president of the Santa Fe Railway. The original Disneyland locomotive entered service in 1959, and Hartland produced this commemorative reproduction in 2002.
The locomotive features a distinctive flared smokestack, red engineer's cab, brass-colored bell, decorative piping, prominent headlamp housing, detailed driving wheels and connecting rods, and traditional American steam locomotive styling. Its side panels identify the locomotive as Ernest S. Marsh, while special commemorative plaques read Walt Disney's Centennial.
The matching red Disneyland Railroad tender displays the railroad's distinctive lettering, No. 4 markings, decorative trim, and simulated wood fuel load. The locomotive and tender are designed to connect electrically and operate together on compatible G-scale track using appropriate train power equipment.
This desirable limited-production model appeals to collectors of Disneyland Railroad memorabilia, Walt Disney Centennial collectibles, vintage G-scale trains, and American steam locomotive reproductions. An attractive addition to a railroad collection or Disney-themed display.
