Vintage 1930s Miners Universal Lamp Co AutoLite 4" Carbide Mining Lantern Lamp - Brass/Copper Color - Empty

Up for sale is a vintage 1930s AutoLite 4" miners carbide lamp manufactured by the Universal Lamp Company of Chicago, Illinois. This lamp still displays its classic design and functionality and features the distinctive crowned top and urn-shaped design that was patented by Jacob S. Sherman in 1916. It has a water reservoir on top to drip water onto the calcium carbide in the base, producing acetylene gas to fuel the flame.

While showing wear from decades of use, the lamp retains its original charm and would make a great addition to any collection of mining memorabilia or antique lighting.
