Vintage 1989 Orion Home Video She Devil Movie Display Standee Counter Standup Placard w/Flashing Red Eyes Starring Meryl Streep & Roseanne Barr with 6 Additional Promotional Package Items 

This is a very rare vintage set of promotional items for the movie "She Devil" starring Meryl Streep and Roseanne Barr. The highlight of this package includes a stand up card of the "She Devil" character with her eyes literally flashing red! 

This unique promotional Orion home video  package contains the following 7 items:

• 1) Counter stand up 8-1/4" x 12-1/8" Counter Standup Placard with battery operated red she devil eyes that light up and flash with on/off switch (New Condition - Works - See Video - Never Used);
• 2) 4-page 8-1/2" X 11" ad campaign promotional sheet in color with film pics (very good condition);
• 3) 4-page 8-1/2" X 11" color promotional sheet for the release of five more videos (overall good condition with some water damage on the lower left back page)
• 4) 1-page Hot Sheet (very slight water damage)
• 5) 6-page color tri-fold with pictures and story lines from the film (water damaged in multiple places - see pictures)
• 6) 25” X 37-1/2” no border video poster that was folded to fit in the mailing envelope (water damaged - see pictures)
• 7) Original color mailing envelope (torn in multiple places and water damaged - see pictures)

CONDITION NOTE: The Standee Counter Standup Placard is NEW, never used, but the other 6 items that are included are Used and vary in condition from Very Good to Fair and water damaged (see all pictures and full description for more details). TESTED the battery operated red "She Devil" eyes that light up and lights and switch work well. The movie video poster was mailed folded in a film advertising envelope. Colors are good. Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep is the most Academy Award-nominated performer in history, with 21 in total (17 for Best Actress and four for Best Supporting Actress), as well as one of only 13 performers to win an Oscar in both acting categories and one of only three performers to win three Academy Awards across the two acting categories (with Ingrid Bergman and Jack Nicholson being the only others to achieve this feat).  She is well known for her film role versatility and ability to imitate a wide range of accents in films.

In "She Devil," Meryl Streep delivered a memorable performance as the conniving and charismatic Mary Fisher. Her ability to portray complex characters with depth and nuance is a testament to her remarkable acting skills. Streep's presence in this film adds a significant value to this vintage movie memorabilia package.

She Devil

The theatre release was in 1989 and scenes were filmed in a New York City 150 year old large home.  It is a dark comedy of a women (Roseanne Barr) making life difficult for his husband and a woman (Meryl Streep) he is having an affair with.  Following success on television, this is Roseanne Barr’s first movie.

BACKSTORY:  Frank G Cairo, Owner of Cairo Home Movies 

Frank Cairo moved from the Bronx, New York to Kenosha, WI in 1943.  The store was open until 1997 with his passing.  In addition to cameras, Frank loved movies and movie stars.  He began collecting 8, 16 and 35mm films, some in Italian.  Eventually, Cairo Home Movies became the largest private and rental film collection in Wisconsin. In summers, there were free outdoor movie nights for neighborhood kids.
