Vintage 1987 MGM/UA Home Video 22x34 Folded Prince’s Trust Charity Concert Poster - Get Back with the Royalty of Rock - P1089

 

The Prince’s Trust Charity Concert, was a historic event featuring some of the biggest names in rock music. This poster commemorates the concert, which took place at London's Wembley Arena. The event was organized by the Prince's Trust charity, with the aim of raising funds to support disadvantaged young people. The concert lineup included unforgettable performances by rock royalty such as:

This is a film of the Prince’s Trust All Star Rock Concert from 1986.  The concert took place at Wembley Stadium in London.  The funding benefits disadvantaged children.  The concert was the ten year anniversary of the concert series stated by the Prince of Wales. 

 

Short Biography of some of the Musicians Attending the Event:

Prince: Prince was an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He was known for his eclectic style, which blended funk, rock, R&B, and pop music. Prince was one of the most successful and influential musicians of the 1980s and 1990s, and he sold over 100 million records worldwide.

 

Michael Jackson: Michael Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He was known as the "King of Pop" and was one of the most popular and influential entertainers of all time. Jackson sold over 350 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

 

Diana Ross: Diana Ross is an American singer, actress, and producer. She was the lead singer of the Supremes, one of the most successful Motown groups of all time. Ross has also had a successful solo career, selling over 100 million records worldwide.

 

Eric Clapton: Eric Clapton is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Clapton has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has won 18 Grammy Awards.

 

George Harrison: George Harrison was an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was a member of the Beatles, one of the most successful and influential bands of all time. Harrison has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has won six Grammy Awards.

BACKSTORY:  Frank G Cairo, Owner of Cairo Home Movies 

Frank Cairo moved from the Bronx, New York to Kenosha, WI in 1943.  The store was open until 1997 with his passing.  In addition to cameras, Frank loved movies and movie stars.  He began collecting 8, 16 and 35mm films, some in Italian.  Eventually, Cairo Home Movies became the largest private and rental film collection in Wisconsin. In summers, there were free outdoor movie nights for neighborhood kids.
