This is an original 1999 Ty Sammy "Sosa" Rainbow Bear Beanie Baby in NEW condition with the original swing tag and tush tag still attached. Sammy was retired shortly after his introduction in honor of baseball star Sammy Sosa's great 1998 season with the Chicago Cubs.

Sammy is tie-dyed in bright rainbow colors and lies flat in a resting pose. He has black button eyes and black stitched nose and mouth. His white Ty heart tag reads "Sammy" in red.

As one of the more rare and valuable Beanie Babies, this Sammy bear is a must-have piece for any serious Ty collector. The mint condition and original tags add to the collectibility.

This Beanie Baby is in mint condition and has never been handled, except when removed from storage container to take pictures. INCLUDES MANUFACTURING ERROR: On both hanging tag and tush tag has the error where the city of "Oak Brook" is spelled as one word "Oakbrook," which is incorrect. In addition, Gosport misspelled as Gasport, & TY INC. capitalized with a comma after the period (see pictures). Includes a plastic storage container as shown in pictures. Was stored in a clean, smoke free environment. Comes with all hanging and sewn-on tags as shown in pictures. Will be packed carefully for safe shipping.
